Puijo – updated embargoed area

The Puijo area is an embargoed area and no orienteering training or orienteering is allowed in this area. This embargo also applies to children’s orienteering training and fitness orienteering. Those competing in orienteering may in summertime only use the paved road leading to the Puijo Tower, the paved area around the tower and in wintertime the 5 km cross-country race tracks. The permitted route is marked at the intersections of ski tracks with signposts featuring a blue marker. Check the route deviating from the 5 km track on Google Maps. Driving through the embargoed area by car along Suurmäentie and Rypysuontie is allowed. This embargo also applies to all those with links to possible WOC team members.
