Open training camp paved the way to the World Cup finals
During the past week, the open training camp took place in Kuopio, where well over a hundred orienteers from eight different countries had the opportunity to experience terrains in different locations in the vicinity of Kuopio.
Altogether six diffent locations in three days offered the participants a good setting of trainings with the weather being far from the typical autumn in Finland, the temperatures reaching as far as +25. The training camp ended in Vanuvuori, with a nice warm-up through a scenic route to the observation tower. The hill, being the fourth highest peak in Kuopio, certainly offers a panoramic scenery to be experienced.
But what is to be expected as the World Cup finals are just around the corner, with only a few weeks away?
” The excitement is definitely in the air, we are all excited to meet each other in Lastukoski – and the terrain looks good “, stated Thierry Guergiou, the head coach of Finnish national orienteering team.
Come and feel the excitement with us in less than three weeks time in Lastukoski – we are all waiting to see you!
