Ruotsin kakkosjoukkue suunnisti voittoon joukkueella Albin Ridefelt, Emil Svensk ja Gustav Bergman.

– Viimeinen kierros oli hankalampi juosta, jäin jälkeen Fosserista ja Kirmulasta. Toiseksi viimeisellä rastilla huomasin olevani johdossa. Silloin uskoin, että voittaisimme, Bergman kertoi maalissa.

Toiseksi sijoittui Norja kokoonpanolla Jorgen Baklid, Eirik Langedal Breivik ja Kasper Harlem Fosser. Suomen joukkue Teemu Oksanen, Eetu Savolainen ja Miika Kirmula tuli kolmanneksi.

Viesti tarjosi jännitystä, sillä vielä kolmannen osuuden puolivälissä kolmen kärki oli kolmen sekunnin sisällä. Siinä vaiheessa johdossa oli Norja, kahden sekunnin päässä Ruotsin kakkosjoukkue ja tästä vain sekunnin perässä Suomi.

Fosser ja Kirmula tekivät vihrettä kilpailun loppupuolella, jolloin Bergman pääsi kuittaamaan ohi ja kilpailun voittoon.

Kilpailun kaksi ensimmäistä osuutta johtanut Ruotsin ykkösjoukkue sijoittui lopputuloksissa yhdeksänneksi ankkuri Martin Regbornin osuutensa alussa tekemän ison virheen vuoksi.

Sweden’s second team headed for victory with Albin Ridefelt, Emil Svensk and Gustav Bergman.

– The last lap was more difficult to run and I fell behind Fosser and Kirmula. At the penultimate checkpoint, I noticed that I was in the lead. Then I believed we would win, Bergman told after the race.

Norway finished second with Jorgen Baklid, Eirik Langedal Breivik and Kasper Harlem Fosser. The Finnish team of Teemu Oksanen, Eetu Savolainen and Miika Kirmula came third.

The relay offered excitement, because even in the middle of the third leg, the top three were within three seconds. At that point, Norway was in the lead, Sweden’s second team was two seconds behind, and Finland followed just one second from that.

Fosser and Kirmula made a mistake at the end of the race, allowing Bergman to clear past and win the race.

The Swedish number one team, which led the first two legs of the competition, finished ninth in the final results. That was due to a big mistake made by anchor Martin Regborn at the beginning of the leg.
